Two Solomon Islands archivists in NZ for training

The New Zealand Archives in Wellington is currently hosting two archivists from the Solomon Islands

Bernard Rizu and Louisa Laekeni have been awarded the NZAID Short Term Training Award.

The head of the NZ Archives appraisal team, Mark Crookston, says the pair will be provided with a range of working experiences as well assessing works on Bougainville

"They're spending two weeks in the Kaipara district council with the host Jane Rawlings and they're spending a few days with the Marist archives in Wellington there they will be documenting photograph series on Bougainville."
