!2 people are still waiting to be evacuated from remote islands in the Northern Marianas after Super Typhoon Choi-Wan caused widespread destruction there.

A family of six was flown off Alamagan late last week on a US Navy helicopter.

They were taken to hospital in the capital, Saipan, but are now being looked after by the local Red Cross.

The CNMI Government now plans to charter a boat to evacuate the remaining eight people on the island, as well as four others on nearby Agrihan, which was also wrecked by the typhoon.

Our correspondent in the CNMI says it's unclear when that'll happen.
