A multi-million dollar building intended to house Fiji's Great Council of Chiefs has been officially opened today.

The facility, which took four years to build and was funded solely by Fiji's government, is to be named Vale Ni Bose or meeting house, rather than be specifically identified with the GCC.

The Concil was dissolved when the constitution was abrogated in April this year.
