French Polynesian pilots join Tunisair

11:11 am on 12 October 2009

A number of aspiring French Polynesian pilots have been given contracts with Tunisair in what appears to be part of efforts to get jobs on Air Tahiti Nui.

Tahitipresse reports that after training in France and Canada, the 10 pilots have been taken on as co-pilots by the North African carrier.

This will allow them to accumulate hundreds of flying hours on routes in Europe, Northern Africa and the Midde East.

The contracts are expected to expire in January.
