The Governor of the Northern Marianas, Benigno Fitial, has extended for another 30 days the declaration of a state of disaster emergency at the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation.
Governor Fitial also warned of a manpower shortage, as well as management crisis at CUC in the absence of a proper board or chief executive officer structure.
The CUC is a 70 million US dollar a year business, critical to the CNMI's economy and public health.
