Representatives of the California company BSB designs will be arriving in American Samoa this week to begin gathering local input for the blue print that will guide tourism development for the territory.

Managing Director Mark Kiner says they will be here for a week and they hope to schedule a public forum while on island.

Three specific tourism related ventures that the tourism plan will include are the redevelopment of the Rainmaker Hotel, the Malaloa marina and Eco tourism.

Mr Kiner says they will be conducting meetings with various groups and also hope to visit Manu'a.

The contract was awarded in June but there were several delays in signing the actual documents which further delayed the teams trip to the territory for their fact finding,

The contract award is for 405,500 US dollars.
