Taiwan has given the Solomon Islands Government more than three million US dollars to build new offices for its parliamentarians.

The new building will include facilities for all members of parliament, a conference room and a cafeteria and is one of three multi million dollar projects sponsored by Taiwan.

The Prime Minister Dr Derek Sikua and the Taiwanese Ambassador George Chan took part in a signing ceremony in Honiara to launch the construction project.

Dr Sikua says he is pleased with Taiwan's continued support and commitment.
