The former Manu Samoa coach, Tuala Lepale Niko Palamo, is suing the Samoa Rugby Union for over 30,000 US dollars for the wrongful termination of his contract according to his lawyer.

The former coach was sacked in January this year after only eight months in the job.

The case was heard for mention yesterday in the Supreme Court in Apia but the lawyer representing the Rugby Union has applied for stay of proceedings in order for the parties to mediate.

The court has yet to decide on the application and the matter has been adjourned to the end of the month.

Tuala took over from former All Blacks Michael Jones, who resigned after the last Rugby World Cup.
