Reports from French Polynesia say President Oscar Temaru has decided to reshuffle his cabinet which may see the removal of the ministers of his coalition partner the To Tatou Aia Party .

Mr Temaru is holding a news conference on the development which comes amid public disagreements between him and the To Tatou Aia leader, Gaston Tong Sang who has ceased to support the majority to which he belongs.

Earlier today, Mr Temaru issued a statement, thanking those in politics and the social partners who chose to maintain a dialogue.

It also says the appetites of some have come to the fore and their bad faith has been shown in their speeches full of contradictions.

The current coalition government was formed in April when Mr Temaru became the territory's third president since last year's early general election.
