American Samoa Rugby Union hoping for IRB support to develop

The American Samoa Rugby Union hopes to secure help from the International Rugby Board in order to develop the sport in the territory as well as becoming a full member of IRB.

ASRU's Acting Chief executive, Moli Lemana, who's attending a IRB meeting in Ireland hopes to gain support from some of the members to achieve its goal.

The ASRU became an association under the IRB in 2005, but Lemana says it was given two years to meet the criteria to become a full member but failed to do so due to management issues.
