A producer and director of the third movie ever made in Marshallese says he wants to encourage young people to embrace their traditional culture.
The new feature film Yokwe Bartowe will be launched in the capital this week.
Jack Niedenthal, who last year also produced the famous Marshallese film Na Noniep, says the movie explores the 'yokwe spirit'.
He says while it is based on a traditional myth about an evil bird, it's still modern with a touch of Hollywood glamour.
All actors volunteered for the movie and the proceeds from the screening will go to the Majuro Cooperative School.
