11:56 am on 2 March 2010

The Kings Road in Fiji is closed to all traffic between Korovou town and Rakiraki.

Fiji Village reports that police say the Wailutua Bridge is under flood water, which is now receding as the rain has stopped.

In Wainibokasi, some areas in Rewa and Togatoga are still flooded and while levels have receded, the police say they are expected to rise again with the high tide.

Flood waters in other parts of Nausori have receded and all roads have been opened to traffic, but motorists have been advised to take precautions.

The Ministry of Works says its still clearing the major landslide at Savu Highway in Sawani, but they will be able to provide access for motorists this morning.

Meanwhile, the flash flood warning has been called off with the Nadi Weather Office saying the trough of low pressure over the group is slowly moving away.
