Samoa education minister pleads guilty to careless driving

Samoa's Minister of Education, Sports, and Culture, Toomata Alapati Po'ese, has pleaded guilty to two charges of careless driving as a result of two car accidents he was involved last year.

Toomata appeared in the District Court where he entered his guilty pleas before district court judge, Tauiliili Harry Schuster.

The Minister was involved in an accident on November the 5th and 7th last year.

The second accident, on the island of Savaii, caused serious injuries to the minister's left leg and as a result, he is still using crutches.

Sentencing will be on April the 16th.
