A District Court judge in Samoa has ordered a warrant to arrest five of the
nine women facing prostitution charges for failing to appear in court early
this week.
The women are facing charges following a police investigation based on media
reports of several young women involved in an alleged prostitution ring that
targeted local and expatriate men for paid sex.
Only four of the nine accused appeared on Tuesday before the court and were remanded on bail to await trial on June 21st
