Court of Abitration for sport to hear Fiji Games appeal

8:12 am on 9 March 2010

The Court of Arbitration for Sports has set the date to hear Fiji's appeal against the Commonwealth Games Federation decision for the expulsion from this year's Commonwealth Games in India.

Because fiji has been suspended from the organisation, the organisation's leaders have decided it is ineligible to participate in Commonwealth Sporting Events.

FASANOC president, Vidhya Lakhan has been informed that the court has set a tentative date to hear Fiji's case on March 23rd in Switzerland.

Mr Lakhan added he hoped to be informed of the decision by the end of the month.

The Delhi Games will be held in October.
