Police in French Polynesia have arrested six people in connection with the kidnapping and torture of a 19-year old woman in Tahiti.
The woman was found bruised, bleeding and naked in a street of Faa'a after escaping from the house where she had been held for two months.
The alleged tormentors included her aunt, who had a leading child care role in the town, as well as underage cousins.
Reports say she had left her family home nearby after a disagreement with her parents at the beginning of the year and ended up being locked up by relatives nearby.
