Cook Islands Tourism faces resignation of key officials

The Cook Islands Tourism office is facing serious staffing problems following the resignation of two key staff members.

The acting Chief Executive of Cook Islands Tourism, Glenda Tuaine, resigned this morning after the office's New Zealand marketing manager, Chris Ingram, resigned last Friday.

Both are citing interference by the Board chairman, Tata Crocombe.

Our correspondent says there is concern in the tourism industry over Mr Crocombe's chairmanship, which some see as heavy handed and interfering.
