The vice-president of the Fiji-based Pacific Islands News Association, John Woods, has called for the organisation to relocate.
Mr Woods, who publishes the Cook Island News, has told Radio Australia that kowtowing to the Fiji censors by PINA is contrary to what the organisation stands for, which is freedom of expression.
He has also deplored governance issues within the organisation, saying as vice-president since last July, he is yet to see any figures to do with bank balances, expenditure, revenue from membership, revenue from subscriptions to PACNEWS.
Mr Woods says there is a strong threat that the whole organisation will just collapse.
