American Samoa police identify victim of fatal beating

The police in American Samoa have identified the victim of a fatal beating over the weekend.

He was 47 year-old Alafati Naisati a citizen of Samoa who was a laborer for a company that off loads fish catches from fishing boats.

He lived in Taputimu.

His employer of three years, Feliciano Incorporated said Naisati was a quiet person, who turned up for work faithfully and was a good employee.

Naisati died at the LBJ Hospital from injuries he sustained in a beating over the weekend.

The government charged Sae Eperone, with first-degree murder and first-degree assault in connection with Naisati's death.
