A 37 year-old woman, the wife of a church minister in Samoa, is standing trial in the Supreme Court in Apia on nearly 200 counts of forgery and theft as a servant, involving nearly 25 thousand US dollars.

At the time of the offences the accused was working with a finance institution lending money to help village women develop small businesses.

The woman allegedly increased the amounts of loans involved and pocketed the difference.
