A number of Fiji high school students were taken in by the police for being drunk and disorderly after the Coke Games at the weekend.

A police spokesman, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri, says there were a large number of high school students in Suva and some of them were found to have been consuming alcohol.

He has told the Fiji Times police noticed from previous games that students drank alcohol, using the games celebration as an excuse.

He said they would decide later whether to charge the students.
