A key Papua New Guinea Government owned business operator, the Independent Public Business Corporation, has warned the public in Lae that people are making fraudulent claims using its name.
The Corporation manages the Government's stake in several major utilities and businesses, including the mammoth liquified natural project.
It has issued a statement saying the public should ignore any claims and demands for money being made by the alleged fraudsters in Lae.
The Corporation says it won't be responsible for any losses or payments made as a result of these claims.
