The 13th Micronesian Chief Executives Summit has opened in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas.
Three presidents and six governors from around the region attending will also discuss issues that include healthcare, tourism, military buildup and alternative energy.
Representatives from the United States and Japan are also at the Summit.
