One of Samoa's main hotels, the Tusitala, will be reopening this week as part of Fiji's Tanoa hotel chain.

The Reddy company has completed a multi-million dollars reconstruction and the 95 room hotel in the center of Apia will be opened on July the 1st as a four star hotel.

Its director of sales, Richard Crouch, who has been in American Samoa to promote the hotel, said the near neighbours will be an important customer base for the Tanoa Tusitala.

"The hotel has enjoyed tremendous support from American Samoa over the last close to 40 years, in its days as the Kitano, and we are very much hoping for that support to continue now, under the guise of the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel."

Last September, a fire caused massive damage to the site.
