The Police in Samoa have confirmed a female passenger was dead upon arrival from American Samoa on a Polynesian flight.
The passenger was a Phillipino woman in her sixties.
The assistant police commissioner Leaupepe Fatu Pula, says negotiations have been made with the Philippines Ambassador in New Zealand to inform her family before arranging for her body to be flown home for burial.
Leaupepe Fatu Pula says a post mortem will be carried out sometime this week.
The police says she was travelling by herself from Pago ago bound for Fiji.
