The Federal Bureau of Investigations has filed an application on behalf of the Department of Public Safety for financial assistance for the wife and children of slain police officer, Lieutanant Liusila Brown.

Many members of the public have also enquired if there's a fund they can contribute to in aid of the fallen officer's family.

Senior Agent Roy Handley of the Pago Pago Field Office of the FBI says whatever assistance is given will be presented by the Department of Public Safety to Lt, Brown's family.

Acting deputy Commissioner of Public Safety Leseiau Laumoli says the department has also contacted the Office of Congressman Faleomavaega Eni Hunkin concerning other federal assistance that can be provided to the family.
