The American Samoa Government tank farm in Utulei is refusing to change operators.

The Chief Procurement Officer, Tauiliiili Pat Tevola, is in favour of the Source Evaluation Board's decision to award the contract for the management and operation of the farm to Pacific Energy Southwest pacific.

The Source Evaluation Board reviewed each applicant's proposal and conducted site visits to the terminal facilities to judge the capacity and capability of each firm.

The process led to a final score tally and the Evaluation Board's recommendation to the Procurement Officer was Pacific Energy SWP Limited, formerly BP Southwest Pacific.

The company has been selected to enter into contract negotiations for the Terminal Operator of Petroleum Tank Farm.

The contract award is worth 1.8 million US dollars per annum and is for three years.
