10:05 am on 14 August 2010

The Emergency Medical Services in American Samoa have taken delivery of two brand new ambulances purchased with funding from the US Department of Homeland Security.

The units cost more than a quarter of million US dollars each.

The EMS has been in desperate need of new ambulances for a very long time, relying on vans in recent years for transporting the ill and injured.
