Fiji's Acting Police Commissioner, Joeli Baleilevuka, says the Police Band and other force entertainment groups can now play jazz and other pop music.

Under the leadership of his predecessor Commodore Esala Teleni the Police band was directed to only play church songs and music.

Mr Baleilevuka told Fiji Broadcasting the band is now open to play any music to suit whatever function they have been invited to.
