Samoa's minister of tourism says revenue from tourism has reached more than 120 millions US dollars despite the global economic crisis and the tsunami last September.

However, Misa Telefoni says Samoa is some way behind Fiji still.

He says Fiji earned four times more than Samoa from tourism, but has eight times Samoa's tourism infrastructure.

Mr Telefoni says to address this the period for a tourism investment tax credit, allowing a tax credit for tourism investment over 100 thousand dollars, is to be extended until 2013.
