One of the athletes caught up in the uncertainty over Delhi Commonwealth Games is Vanuatu weightlifter Pala Molisa.
Several nations, including Scotland, New Zealand and Canada, have delayed their departures for Games, which start in just over a week, due to concerns about security, health and the state of the athletes' village.
Molisa will be attending his first Games in Delhi after qualifying via the Oceania Weightlifting Championships in Suva earlier this year.
The university lecturer says being based in New Zealand means he's spent a lot of time communicating via email and telephone with people back home.
But despite the documented issues in Delhi Molisa says he's still looking forward to competing, providing the athletes aren't at risk.
"I think safety's an obvious concern, it will be a concern for any athlete or family or support member going over but I think with all the other stuff I tend to take the attitude you've got to take it all with a grain of salt. Really for athletes at the end of the day we just want to do the sport we love and we train for. As long as people are safe that is all you want really."
Pala Molisa says being so far away from Delhi the enormity of the event and problems hasn't quite sunk in but he's looking forward to getting on the plane on Monday.
