The chief executive of the Fiji Sugar Corporation, Deo Saran, has resigned with immediate effect.
According to Fijilive, Mr Saran said he tendered his resignation last week.
In a press statement, he went on to say it was a difficult decision for him to make especially at a time when the Corporation is going through challenging times.
No reason has been given for the move.
Mr Saran joined the Corporation in 2002 as Senior Financial Analyst and has served as Chief Executive Officer since September 2008.
