A man in Samoa has been charged with murder after he allegedly slashed his 31-year-old wife to death with a machete on the weekend.
According to Assistant Police Commissioner, Leaupepe Fatu Pula, the incident occurred last Saturday morning in Lepea.
Leaupepe told the Samoa Observer it was a domestic violence case and the accused was under the influence of alcohol.
He said that the accused is in custody awaiting a court date.
