Hawaiian Airlines has added extra flights between Pago Pago and Honolulu from mid December to the first week of January, 2011.
The Honolulu-based carrier in the past has added extra flights for the Christmas and New Year holidays to accommodate the heavy traffic as students and others return to the territory for the holidays.
At the time same American Samoa residents heads to the U.S. for the holidays.
Meanwhile, the Air Travel Consumer Report, issued by the US Department of Transportation, says Hawaiian has recorded the best results in August among the nation's airlines for punctuality, fewest flight cancellations, and fewest mishandled baggage reports.
