A 5.3 magnitude shook the Samoa islands early this morning.
The quake happened 152 kilometres from Samoa's capital, Apia, at a depth of 28 kilometers.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre in Honolulu says the earthquake did not trigger a tsunami alert.
