The deputy editor of the Fiji Times, Sophie Foster, has resigned from the newspaper and will move to Australia.
Her decision has been reported by FBC News.
She had been on leave since last month when the editor, Netani Rika, quit.
Their departure follows the newpaper's sale by Australia's News Limited to Fiji's Mothibai Group in line with a decree curbing foreign ownership of Fiji media.
