The final results for nine of the 24 constituencies in the Cook Islands election have been confirmed, with no change from the preliminary results for these seats.
The overall preliminary election result gave the Cook Islands Party 15 seats, the ruling Democratic Party eight seats, with one seat tied.
But the full and final election result and the result of the referendum on reducing the number of seats in parliament is not expected to be announced for another two days.
