A body has been found near the Marshall Islands and is believed to be one of four passengers from a small boat that went missing in rough seas Friday afternoon and later capsized.

The Police have confirmed the body of a male was located 32 kilometres south of Arno Atoll in the Marshall Islands yesterday.

But a search official says the body is so badly decomposed that they cannot even tell its race.

He says officials are hoping to get the body to a hospital in Majuro for identification.

The discovery comes a day after boat of the missing people was located by search officials.

The United States Coast Guard has now increased its presence in the search by flying in a second C-130 aircraft from Honolulu to join the air and sea search for possible survivors.

The search by the U.S. Coast Guard and a fleet of local vessels is expected to continue today.
