There were mixed results overnight for Samoa and Fiji on Day One of the rugby sevens in Dubai.
Samoa began their Series defence with a 21-21 draw against Wales - but managed to overcome easily the Arabian Gulf 54-12 and then Kenya 26-7.
Tonight Samoa will meet the USA in the cup quarter-final.
The Fijians began well beating Portugal 31-7 and the French 35-5. But England proved too much for the Fijians beating them 26-21.
Fiji will meet South Africa tonight in the cup quarter final.
New Zealand and Australia were only the sides to win all of their matches.
