The U.S. Department of Homeland Security intends to issue the long-awaited transitional worker rule for the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas in March.

The measure is expected to cover some 22,000 foreign workers in the Commonwealth.

The Department says each of the CNMI transitional workers will be required to pay a 320 US dollar fee per year.
