Flags at half mast in American Samoa after death of top official

The American Samoa Governor, Togiola Tulafono, has ordered that all flags in the territory be flown at half staff today and tomorrow in remembrance of the Director of Criminal Justice Planning Agency, Alalamua laulii Filoialii.

Alalamua died on December the 4th in Honolulu after a long illness.

He was 60 years old.

The governor has also authorised the use of the American Samoa flag in the funeral services for Alalamua.

Governor Togiola says Alalamua was a mainstay of government for the better part of the last two decades.
