Two former employees of U'unai Legal Services in American Samoa have been indicted on federal charges of stealing ngo money.
U'unai which is now closed, was a non profit organization that provided free legal services to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and sexual abuse.
Julie Mata'u and her daughter Andrea are accused of diverting $150,000 in U'unai funds to themselves and other members of their family.
The two, defendants who are living in California, will appear in the US federal District Court of Northern California in two weeks.
