FIFA President to touch down in American Samoa

1:23 pm on 14 January 2011

FIFA president Sepp Blatter and FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke are due to arrive in American Samoa for the Oceania Football Confederation's 21st Ordinary Congress.

Prior to the congress meeting, Blatter will join American Samoa governor Togiola Tulafono in opening new facilities at Pago Park Stadium.

The country's football headquarters were badly damaged during the 2009 tsunami but much of this has been repaired thanks to phases II and III of the FIFA Goal Project.

On Sunday the OFC congress will be held with a new President and Executive Committee to be elected.
