The House and Senate in the Northern Marianas passed a bill during back-to-back sessions to provide up to US$6.2 million in incentives for travel agents to bring in Japanese tourists.

They particularly want to target arrivals from Osaka and Nagoya during the months when tourism numbers in the Commonwealth are at their lowest.

The bill now heads to the Governor, Benigno Fitial,

for action.
