The Solomon Islands government has called on political leaders and authorities not to scare people about a looming constitutional crisis if parliament resumes at the end of March.
SIBC reports the government has released a statement saying the warnings are part of a struggle between the government and the opposition, invented by the deputy opposition leader Matthew Wale.
The statement says Mr Wale has himself created a constitutional crisis by making allegations against the government without providing evidence.
The statement says the government is concerned that changing the date of parliament meeting from March 28, would accommodate Mr Wale's political campaign to get rid of the government.
The government statement says the meeting date fits in well with the budget preparations and the legal process it needs to pass through before it is laid before Parliament.
