Guam focuses on building links with China tourism market

Guam has just finished hosting 1,377 tourists from China's four mainland cities over the past two weeks.

The Pacific News Center reports that during this period, the Guam Visitors Bureau welcomed a management group from one of China's largest travel agencies, Shanghai CYTS Travel, for a presentation and luncheon.

The group visited Guam as part of an incentive trip based on its successful sale of Chinese New Year packages to the island in January and February.

The Bureau says that building relationships with agencies like CYTS will ultimately benefit Guam as it continues to grow its Chinese market and work toward streamlining the island's visa policy with China.
