American Samoa's Chief Election Commissioner says voters who cast ballots in Samoa's general elections on Friday will have their names purged from the voter roll.
Soliai Fuimaono Tuipine says under US election law, a voter can be disqualified from voting if they vote in another country's election.
He says the Election Office will go to Samoa following the elections there to check if any voters from American Samoa cast ballots.
He says those who are found to have voted will not be elgible to vote in territorial elections next year.
Meanwhile, Inter island airlines Polynesian and Inter Island Air report full flights to Apia, from today to Friday morning due to the elections.
Candidates of the Tautua Party held fundraisings in the territory leading up to the elections.
