The Leadership Tribunal in Papua New Guinea hearing a misconduct in office case against the Prime Minster, Sir Michael Somare, is likely to decide later today or tomorrow what penalties he should face.
Sir Michael has been found guilty of 13 charges relating to financial details he is supposed to supply annually to the Ombudsman Commission.
But our correspondent in Port Moresby, Jonathan Tannos, says Sir Michael was cleared of almost half the allegations made against him:
"He was cleared on 12 of the charges, I think most of them relate to basically incomplete returns and then where there were cases that could not be proven, where the returns were incomplete or he did not furnish his returns for whichever particular year, those were the ones I think that he was cleared on."
