Pacific Mini Games tipped for either CNMI or Vanuatu

The Northern Marianas Amateur Sports Association, believes the hosting rights for the 2017 Pacific Mini Games will be a toss up between the CNMI and Vanuatu.

Four nations submitted bids to host the 2017 Pacific Mini Games last month with Nauru and Norfolk Island joining the list.

However, the Association's president, Michael White, who attended a meeting in New Caledonia, says he believes the CNMI and Vanuatu have the most credible bid papers.

He says the two other island-nations submitted only a couple of pages of bid documents and they were not that detailed.

White says Vanuatu also has a lot of facilities to build based on its proposal while the CNMI will only need repairs.

The winning bid will be revealed in September during the 2011 Pacific Games.
