The former deputy chair of Indonesia's Papuan People's Assembly, or MRP, has been advised to withdraw as a member as it begins its second term.
Hana Hikoyabi was one of two people elected to the new MRP who weren't sworn in last week.
She was given a deadline of 14 days by Jakarta to clarify her position on special autonomy before she could be sworn in.
The deadline, which has now elapsed, was given because of her role in consultations last year which led to the MRP rejecting special autonomy status.
